It all started back in 1970…
Needle Nook of La Jolla was established in 1970 and purchased by Fay Bullitt in 2008. Being a needlepointer herself, Fay wanted to create a wonderful shop carrying only the best of everything and appealling to all needlepointers. She leased a second location two doors away and began to create the shops she envisioned. The original store, now called the Thread Gallery, is devoted entirely to threads; with over 125 lines of threads available. The second location, The Canvas Studio, is devoted to the artist with 3000 square feet of painted canvases on display. We also have an extensive web site which changes almost daily with new items, featured items, upcoming events and classes. Throughout both stores we offer a wide array of gadgets, accessories, books and leather goods for the discriminating stitcher.
In addition to regularly scheduled classes and special classes with national teachers we offer a wide array of custom services.
